The first chiropractic adjustment was delivered September 18th, 1895 when the founder, Daniel David Palmer, performed a chiropractic adjustment on a partially deaf janitor named Harvey Lillard. (Although the art of adjusting the spine to improve health has been referenced as early as 2000 BC.) Shortly after this adjustment, Harvey noticed that his hearing had been restored. It was initially believed that these adjustments would cure the loss of hearing. Thousands of people lined up to get adjusted. This was not found to be a common result, but many realized that OTHER areas of their body were functioning better than they had before being adjusted.

D.D. later opened the first chiropractic school in Davenport, Iowa, Palmer Chiropractic College. I graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College in Port Orange, Florida in 2012.

The thermal scan measures the temperature of the skin at each level of the spine. The nerves flowing through the spine that control the skin’s temperature also control every organ and gland in the body. So this quick non-invasive test is performed to see how deeply lifestyle stress has settled into the spine and nervous system, interfering with nerve flow and the normal healthy rhythm of the body.

This is just one of the tests I use every 12th adjustment to track progress, but you can see here on my son’s pre-adjustment scan and post-adjustment scan immediately following what a difference an adjustment can make! 👐🏼✨
