Should Everyone Get the Flu Shot?

Many have asked me about the flu vaccine since it has been pushed so hard upon people this season. Vaccination is a very sensitive subject for many and people have filled entire books writing it, so without getting too deep into every issue, I would like to just share my personal opinion and thoughts. It is my belief that vaccinating is a personal decision and like any health choice, it should be made with as much information as possible.

There are many available opportunities for free flu shots this season and they are recommended constantly by the media, so many people receive the vaccination because it is so available without ever considering doing any research on the potential risks and how well it really works. The bottom line is that the flu vaccine contains toxic additives and it just hasn’t been found to be very effective. There may be benefit for certain individuals, but you should do your homework before you decide if getting a flu vaccination is the right choice for you and your family.

The mainstream recommendations tend to lead one to believe that vaccines of all kinds are safe for everyone and that anyone who claims that vaccines cause injury is a complete wackadoo. The fact is that vaccine injury is a very real enough that there has been a Federal Claim’s court dedicated to compensating families of those injured following vaccination ever since a bill was passed in 1986 prohibiting such families from suing vaccine makers and providers. Individuals have different biochemistry and what may be safe for one may not be for another.

Everyone seems to know at least one person who says they suffered with a terrible flu following their vaccination. The flu shot does not contain a live virus, so this is supposed to be impossible. One plausible explanation is that these individuals are actually sensitive to the additives in the serum, such as mercury, which trigger an immune defensive response, and are not actually affected by the virus itself.

There are many different types of influenza and the annual flu vaccines are developed based only on predictions over which will be the prevalent flu strain that year, which is why they have been found to be dismally ineffective. There may be some benefit for individuals who already have a compromised immune system and could be more seriously threatened by a flu virus. Stomach flu is not a type of flu for which vaccines are currently offered. Vitamin D supplementation is just one natural precaution that has been found to reduce the risk of catching colds and influenza more effectively than vaccination.

I personally do not consider vaccinating myself against diseases that are not life-threatening because I would rather raise my immunity naturally than risk the toxic additives in the serums, but I believe vaccinating is a personal choice and you should always research the efficacy and risks yourself before deciding what is right for you and your family.
