Dr. O’s Tips: Connection is more important than diet and exercise

Connecting with and helping others is more important to having a long, vital and happy life than a healthy diet and exercise program.

A powerful resolution for this New Year with long-lasting and far-reaching benefits could be to finally join the club or class you’ve always considered, start a weekly dinner or game night with friends, or choose an organization is meaningful to you and begin volunteering. Studies have found that having meaningful work, involvement in a community, and good friends are the greatest predicators of a long and healthy life. Healthy fuel and movement are necessary for maintaining good health, but even with these pieces in place, we still cannot thrive as human beings without connecting with others.
Yours In Health,
